We interrupt our political rants..

I never talk about my world. It’s against my better judgment. I mean..its so boring for the love of God. But I do have days where its not bad from here.

Lately the ball and chain has been bringing up politics. This my dear reader is extremely unusual. I have literally chased him around the house trying to discuss an issue or what have you and it ends with him locking himself in the bathroom.

He has taken an interest in bringing things to my attention that he thinks he is scooping me on. Of course thats not possible, lets be realistic, I get a million news alerts and updates from every known media source during the day. Its my thing for Christ’s sake.

We have baseball already. Sports in general. But he has really been sitting and talking political issues. I have also toned down my rhetoric as I have a tendency to raise my voice, my eyes bug out and the f-bomb’s start flying around. He is after all, a conservative from the old school.

But the operative phrase there is “old school”. They are no longer bad people, almost moderate on many issues like spying on us, taking care of those who can’t and spending our money like a drunken sailor on leave. I did convince him to NOT vote for Ahnold the last time around. He almost went for Angelides but backed out at the voting booth…

My point..possibly..is that labels are shifting in their meaning. We have allies where we never thought to look. We need to cultivate them.

Meanwhile, the Iraqi’s are really getting active protesting and bitching their ever-loving asses off about the proposed Oil Law. You know the one..where they sell their souls to the devil and don’t even get kissed first.

About Dusty, hells most vocal bitch

I am a..brown Cali bitch that is quite the opinionated, political, pain-in-the-ass, in your face kinda girl that also loves baseball and music to a fault. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.--Albert Einstein-*

  1. My friend was dating a girl who was a liberal, and who admired Hillary. He really loved this girl, but the politics got in the way. That relationship caved in.On the contrast, I forget his name but there’s a Democrat guy who is married to a Republican. Their relationship is supposedly good and they claim their political differences are healthy for their relationship. My only question is this: Is your ball and chain a neo, or a paleocon? There are BIG differences.

  2. I think it can be healthy to have disagreement on things which we have little effect on personally Steve. My husband is a good man that actually supports my right to question our leaders. I would call him a Goldwater Republican, like my grandfather. If your big into labels..thats the only one I would give him. As I said..labels are changing and some Goldwater repubs are now considered to be moderates or even in some circles..liberal.

  3. hahahaha!!!! love this:<>I have also toned down my rhetoric as I have a tendency to raise my voice, my eyes bug out and the f-bomb’s start flying around. He is after all, a conservative from the old school.<>me too, with my husband, though he’s a progressive liberal democrat like i am. it’s just that i am, well, <>impassioned<> is one term. radical is another. wild-eyed ranting and driven insane by the present condition of our country, that’s me. can i shut up about it? it’s hard. very hard. i try. it keeps coming out.

  4. That is rich BaB..thanks for making me feel better about my passion for righting what I see as wrong and refusing to be a quiet sucker on the sidelines 🙂

  5. <>You know the one..where they sell their souls to the devil and don’t even get kissed first.<>Dusty, you disappointed me here, given that you were too polite to write what usually gets inserted before the kissing part, and you with your flying f-bombs and all. 😉My wife and I used to get into it pretty good over Bill Clinton, even tho she and I are both leftys from way back. Problem is, Clinton wasn’t, but my wife couldn’t see that. All she saw was the D after his name. But IMO, we’re in our 27th consecutive year of unbroken republican presidencies.

  6. Anthony..sometimes for shits and giggles..I try to write a post that doesn’t contain any profanity..its fucking tough m’dear..lemme tell ya.I totally agree with your assessment of Billy Clinton and our 27 years of Republican Presidencies. Kudos for putting that out there 🙂

  7. Speaking of baseball, is this the year my Cubs don’t blow it? Or, is it just another year that I will get excited and they will pull the football away at the last moment?

  8. Scott, as a former resident of Metro Phoenix, I have a soft spot for the Cubbies. I used to go to Sluggo’s there, which is nothing but Cubbies. I hope they do find their way into the post season. If they happen to play against my Padres in the playoffs..well the good will towards themm will fly out the window..but you understand right? 🙂
