Holy Shit..WSJ Editorial Board writes Pro-Obama article!

I wouldn’t believe it if I hadn’t seen it with my own two eyeballs. From the WSJ writeup:

….In linking the dollar to oil prices, Mr. Obama is pointedly at odds with the Bush Administration and Federal Reserve, both of which blame high commodity prices on supply and demand, despite falling demand due to slower global growth. Fed officials — in particular, Vice Chairman Donald Kohn — have expressly rejected any strong link between the dollar’s collapse and the oil price surge since last August.

This conveniently absolves the Fed and Bush Treasury of responsibility for the consequences of what has been their destructive and all but explicit dollar devaluation strategy. If the Illinois Senator rejects greenback debasement, that’s the best news to date about Obamanomics.

On a side note…John Edwards comes clean about his affair tonight on ABC..oh big fucking deal..he didn’t molest a minor like the asshole republican in Missouri recently.

Edwards will end it where he began..NOLA

AP states he will not throw his support to either Hillary or Obama today, this per an unidentified advisor to his campaign. His populist message appealed to me more than any of the others besides Kucinich. I now have no idea who I will vote for next Tuesday.

Also, Edwards is calling it a “suspension” of his campaign..for obvious reasons.

Edwards campaign will accept public funding.

Which means its not going to well on the fund-raising front for him. TheHill has a short writeup on it here a short blurb below:

In a stunning move that was described by one expert as a “Hail Mary” play, John Edwards’s campaign said Thursday afternoon that the former North Carolina Democratic senator will accept public matching funds for the 2008 primary season.

A campaign official told The Hill that the campaign would take in about $7 million for the third quarter, which ends at midnight on Sunday. This would bring Edwards to about $30 million for the year, or about $10 million shy of the campaign’s $40 million goal to compete in the first four states. All of those totals are well below the record-breaking hauls of Edwards’s Democratic rivals, Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) and Barack Obama (Ill.). At the end of the second quarter, Edwards had $13.5 million cash on hand. By accepting public funding, the campaign would cap its spending at a sum estimated to be $50 million for the primary.

John Edwards to address the nation after Bush’s speech tonight..

Just a short note to inform folks that have cable or satellite that John Edwards has bought airtime immediately following Bush’s Iraq speech tonight on MSNBC, he will rebut whatever points our Asshat-in-Chief attempts to make. Must see TV folks! I just got this as I laid down after a long and painful drive from SoCal and heard that “yahoo” Tucker Carlson mention it on his show. I swear I wasn’t dreaming, I sat up and heard him say they didn’t know what the text of his speech would be..but its his time! 2 minutes worth..short but…sweet?
