Another graduate from Nutter U opens her piehole again: Virginia Thomas

Ginni, aka Virginia Thomas must be craving more than her fifteen minutes of fame with her latest horseshit move. Andy Borowitz has thoughts on this issue as he too has received unwanted calls from Justice Thomas’ crazy-ass wife. From his piece at the New Yorker, which I found priceless this morning:

Like many Americans, over the past several years I have been the recipient of multiple unwelcome voicemails from the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. These calls have come in the middle of the night, at the crack of dawn, even at the dinner hour favored by telemarketers. Regardless of the time of day, all of these voicemails have one thing in common: she always sounds like she’s drunk-dialing me, except she appears to be completely sober.

I know what you’re saying: “It’ll never happen to me. Virginia Thomas doesn’t even have my phone number!” Well, that’s what I thought, and several years of trauma counseling later, I’ve come to realize (the hard way) what a fool’s paradise I was living in. Consider this: according to a recent study, the odds of Virginia Thomas leaving a threatening voicemail for you are higher than those of Christine O’Donnell correctly identifying the First Amendment. With those grim statistics in mind, here are three simple steps you can take if and when Mrs. Clarence Thomas calls:

   1. Start apologizing the moment you hear her voice. Remember, like a bear at a campsite, Virginia Thomas does not want to eat you, she’s only after your food, and in this case, your apology is the only thing protecting you from Mrs. Thomas mauling you to death. If apologizing does not work, clap your hands loudly into the receiver in the hopes of scaring her away.

   2. When she says, “This is Virginia Thomas,” reply, “No, this is Virginia Thomas. Who’s calling? Wait a minute—is that you, Anita Hill?” When she denies being Anita Hill (and she will), say, “There you go again, with your infernal lies. This is like Clarence’s confirmation hearings all over again. You disgust me, Anita Hill.” With any luck, accusing her of being Anita Hill will disorient her long enough for you to summon help.

   3. Get in the habit of answering your phone, “Long Dong Silver residence.”

One final note: if you get a call in the middle of the night and there is silence on the other end, that is not Virginia Thomas. That is Clarence Thomas.

I am so tired of these fuckwads and their bullshittery. That the press keeps giving her another fifteen minutes of fame is wrong on every level, unless they are exposing her for what she is: A rightwing extremist that needs a hobby and seems to crave the national spotlight…aka a media whore.

And while we are talking about this cunt, where in the fuck is she getting her money for that worthless non-profit she calls…cough..Liberty Central? Surely, that is more important than her stupid, ignorant call to Anita Hill, especially since her spouse is Supreme Court Justice and fellow wingnut Clarence Thomas. Great NYT OpEd here asking many of the same questions. A short blurb:

Sarah Field, an executive of Liberty Central, told The Times  that the organization pays Mrs. Thomas. Justice Thomas is a beneficiary of that pay and has a responsibility under federal law to “inform himself” about who the donors are because they have an impact on Mrs. Thomas’s personal financial interests.

Mrs. Thomas is not legally required to disclose the donors. That is unfortunate, but she does have a duty to do so, just as former President Bill Clinton had a duty to disclose the donors to his library and charitable ventures when his wife became secretary of state.

Justice Thomas needs disclosure to know if either of those donors is a party in a case before the Supreme Court or has an interest in a party. That is the only way he can comply with a fundamental ethical and legal requirement to “disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned.” 

Damn skippy mutha fucka…this cunt and her husband need to be upfront about her…cough…non-profit organization and how much cash she gets from it and who in the blue hell supports this worthless woman’s organization.

This week’s Fuckwit of the Week is gonna be hard to single out. There are just so many of them! Two however, stand out…

Jim Bunning – Former MLB pitcher and all-around bag of batshit is our first nominee. This asshole was asked by his own party to retire. His stubborn, ignorant fuckery has now cost two thousand people their jobs, removed the safety net for unemployed workers and triggered a 20% cut in pay for Doctors whose patients are on Medicare. From the link:

Bunning was able to block the bill because Democratic and Republican leaders in the Senate had signed off on passing it without a floor vote, instead asking that it be approved by unanimous consent – consent that Bunning withheld.

The federal Transportation Department said it was temporarily laying off 2,000 employees without pay starting yesterday and would begin suspending construction projects nationwide because a highway funding program ran out of money. That could be alleviated in days if the Senate acts or if the House passes another bill that extends the program.

While most Republicans distanced themselves from Bunning’s action, Democrats on the Hill painted the GOP as obstructionist and used the occasion to marshal public support for using a controversial tactic – budget reconciliation – to pass a health-care overhaul bill later this month.

“Bunning’s done more in the past few days to call attention to Republican procedural abuses in the Senate than anything we’ve seen before,” said Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D., Md.).

The blocked bill also would have kept Medicare reimbursement rates at current levels.

As the result of the hold, the government yesterday began paying 21 percent less than before to doctors who see Medicare patients. Hoping the Senate would act soon to stave off the cuts, the Obama administration directed Medicare billing contractors to hold off processing claims for 10 business days. Medicare normally takes 14 days to pay doctors, so there would be no cuts in reimbursement if lawmakers move quickly.

The American Medical Association issued a blistering statement saying the Senate had made senior citizens “collateral damage to their procedural games.” (emphasis mine)

Bunning then refused to speak to the press that was hounding him for an explanation to his fuckwitted game.  If that sumbitch wants to play games he should, at the very least, have the fucking balls to stand up for his…cough…convictions and face the media.

Next up is Jon Kyl. Kyl made a simply lovely statement regarding unemployment and the people that are receiving unemployment checks during this most horrible recession. The reason this fuckwit is holding up the bill is that he wants the estate tax to continue favoring those folks inheriting over 7 million bucks…gotta protect those uber-rich folks, don’t ya Jonny?

Guess we know where Kyl’s priorities are. I hope the unemployed in AZ remember this shit when they are in the voting booth. From HuffPo:

 Sen. Jon Kyl of Arizona, the Republican whip, argued that unemployment benefits dissuade people from job-hunting “because people are being paid even though they’re not working.”

Unemployment insurance “doesn’t create new jobs. In fact, if anything, continuing to pay people unemployment compensation is a disincentive for them to seek new work,” Kyl said during debate over whether unemployment insurance and other benefits that expired amid GOP objections Sunday should be extended.

“I’m sure most of them would like work and probably have tried to seek it, but you can’t argue that it’s a job enhancer. If anything, as I said, it’s a disincentive. And the same thing with the COBRA extension and the other extensions here,” said Kyl.

This bastard gives me a migraine.  Protecting the money of the uber rich whilst throwing the working class under the bus. Kyl is a douche nozzle of the highest order and our second nominee.

Whoa, David Brooks said what???

This is scary, very scary. The idea that David  Brooks could get anything right freaks me the fuck out, especially after reading his OpEd at the NYT, a section of which is quoted below:

All this money and technology seems to have reduced the risk of future attack. But, of course, the system is bound to fail sometimes. Reality is unpredictable, and no amount of computer technology is going to change that. Bureaucracies are always blind because they convert the rich flow of personalities and events into crude notations that can be filed and collated. Human institutions are always going to miss crucial clues because the information in the universe is infinite and events do not conform to algorithmic regularity.

Resilient societies have a level-headed understanding of the risks inherent in this kind of warfare.

But, of course, this is not how the country has reacted over the past week. There have been outraged calls for Secretary Janet Napolitano of the Department of Homeland Security to resign, as if changing the leader of the bureaucracy would fix the flaws inherent in the bureaucracy. There have been demands for systemic reform — for more protocols, more layers and more review systems.

Much of the criticism has been contemptuous and hysterical. Various experts have gathered bits of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s biography. Since they can string the facts together to accurately predict the past, they thunder, the intelligence services should have been able to connect the dots to predict the future.

Lizard Cheney doesn’t have the chops to debate Maddow.

She evidently only goes on shows that support her pov or have weak hosts that can’t or won’t call her on the fuckery and lies she spews. From ThinkProgress:

Liz Cheney probably won’t be appearing on Rachel Maddow’s show tonight, either. After Maddow dared Cheney to come on and “debate the issues” with her (something that Cheney is attacking MSNBC for failing to do), the former Vice President’s daughter has instead chosen to appear in a much friendlier setting. According to a Fox News email, Liz will be a guest on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show tonight at 9 pm ET (the same time that Maddow’s show airs on MSNBC) to discuss why Obama’s “‘radical’ policies are placing us all at risk”.

Just like her daddy, she is a putz that can’t handle true debate. When someone can actually counter her bullshit, Lizard Cheney refuses to show up and support the crap she spews..like the true bat o’ batshit that she is. Like father, like daughter.
